{"id":2286,"date":"2014-08-25T21:20:28","date_gmt":"2014-08-26T02:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shirlsu.com\/?p=2286"},"modified":"2015-07-22T12:52:24","modified_gmt":"2015-07-22T17:52:24","slug":"finally-found-my-mojo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shirlsu.com\/?p=2286","title":{"rendered":"Finally found my mojo!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_2287\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 362px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shirlsu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/grey-pink-stripe-seersucker-13.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2287\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shirlsu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/grey-pink-stripe-seersucker-13.jpg\" alt=\"SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES\" width=\"362\" height=\"592\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Shirt #13 (Seersucker)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After a few weeks of accomplishing little, I&#8217;ve finally got some energy back. \u00a0 I&#8217;ve managed to make shirt #13 (since March) and have cut out another.<\/p>\n<p>This shirt is grey, white, red and pink stripe seersucker with a stark white collar band and no collar.\u00a0 There is also a white accent on the pocket, horizontal-cut yoke and rounded, tuck-in hem.\u00a0 The seams are flat felled and top stitched for lasting wear.\u00a0 I hope he likes it.<\/p>\n<p>While stitching, I&#8217;ve decided to try and make enough shirts for Jacob to wear a different shirt each day for a month.\u00a0 If that is the goal, I&#8217;m nearly halfway there!\u00a0 If I don&#8217;t poop out or if he doesn&#8217;t stop me, I hope to reach that goal by late Spring.\u00a0 I hope it&#8217;s not too ambitious.\u00a0 We shall see!<\/p>\n<p>As I type this post, the pressure canner is singing its jiggling song.\u00a0 I&#8217;m processing 7 pints of split pea and ham soup.\u00a0 Along with a grilled cheese sandwich, a pint of split pea and ham soup will make a super easy dinner this winter when a hot, hearty meal will be appreciated.\u00a0 If my energy holds this week, I plan to can some chicken soup too.\u00a0 Bob stocked our freezer near full of chicken he found on sale so I&#8217;m anxious to process some for easy meal preparation.<\/p>\n<p>I much prefer opening jars of my own soup (canned with love) than opening anything commercially prepared (with chemicals and preservatives).\u00a0 Mine tastes SO much better too!<\/p>\n<p>Shirl<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a few weeks of accomplishing little, I&#8217;ve finally got some energy back. \u00a0 I&#8217;ve managed to make shirt #13 (since March) and have cut out another.
